RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

All sales are final. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please call us at (860) 767-7032 before you place your order. For goods that arrive damaged in transit, please see section entitled FIXTURES RECEIVED IN DAMAGED CONDITION.

To our Retail Customers:

All fixture sales are final and cannot be refunded and may only be returned for warranty service if there is a defect in our craftsmanship that is subject to the terms of our warranty (see Warranty Policy )

While Retail customers may purchase any item in our Permanent Collection via this web Site, we encourage you to use the services of designers or members of the Trade or to visit our showrooms in New York (Wood and Hogan) and Connecticut (at our shop in Ivoryton, CT) in order to become familiar with the qualities, materials, patinas and functional characteristics of our fixtures. By purchasing directly from the Trade, you may still purchase our Permanent Collection fixtures while enjoying certain customization services that are not available directly to you as a retail customer. For these reasons, we encourage you to consult with a design professional.

To our Trade Clients:

Care must be given when creating specifications and ordering fixtures to ensure that your clients are totally satisfied. If you have any questions related to our optional features, patinas, hanging specifications, or any other part of your specified lighting fixtures, kindly contact us in advance of your order. We will be pleased to spend the time necessary for you to understand our capabilities and quality in order to provide your clients with the most complete proposal possible.

Custom and customized fixtures are built to client-approved specifications. In many cases, a large run of a custom design will include a first article (fixture) construct/approval opportunity to ensure that our fabrication corresponds to approved designs. Any changes to the fixture must be made at that time so that the production run of duplicated fixtures is consistent with the design specification. See Custom Process for more detail. This process ensures that the quality, features and detail meet approved specifications while still showing the hand of the craftsman.

We are committed to satisfying the knowledgeable customer. This means that your end customer must be familiar with our fixtures, materials, quality, finishes and other elements before their fixtures are purchased. Your clients will look to you to provide this knowledge and we are pleased to help you any reasonable way to respond to questions or provide further information to ensure your client is satisfied with your recommendations and specifications. We want you and your clients to be exceptionally pleased with your decision to have Scofield Lighting build your fixtures.
