SUSTAINABILITY

Scofield Lighting designs and produces beautiful lighting handcrafted with authentic materials. All of our products are designed, built and finished in our workshops in New England. All metal scrap is recycled as well as paper and packaging. Our patina process utilizes an engineered closed-loop system, generating very minimal waste. Casein paints, used on our wood turnings, are non-toxic and environmentally safe. Our fixtures are constructed with tin-plated steel and copper sheets. We make every effort to buy our metal from recycled industrial sources.

All fixtures are low wattage. Some fixture designs allow for energy efficient CFL bulbs. Our solid copper exterior fixtures do not rust so they can be installed in harsh exterior environments without concern for deterioration / future replacement.
